Share a bit about your professional background:
I graduated from Portland State University with a B.S. in Finance and am currently in the MBA program at Washington State University. I previously worked as a Financial Analyst for Cambia Health Solutions and Banfield Pet Hospitals.

What excites you most about working at KCE?
I have a four year old, who just started preschool last year, and also a two years old, so the KCE message really resonates with me.

Tell us a unique fact about yourself:
I lived within a few blocks of Fenway Park in 2004, the year the Red Sox broke their 86-year curse to win the World Series. I’m an avid Red Sox fan.

What’s your favorite children’s book?
The Sneetches by Dr. Seuss.

Matt Sailor, B2B Content Writer

Share a bit about your professional background:
I come to KinderCare after several years working in a creative agency as a writer, creative director, and editor. Prior to that, I have background in B2B marketing, journalism, and even academics. My passion is for using my talent for language to tell business stories so good you don’t even realize they’re marketing.

What excites you most about working at KCE?
I look forward to making an impact with a company that helps working parents with their childcare needs and makes a difference for kids.

Tell us a unique fact about yourself:
I’m a published fiction writing and essayist. My stories have been published in multiple literary magazines and I’ve received recognition from the National Endowment for the Arts and Best American Essays.

What’s your favorite children’s book?
The Monster at The End of This Book starring Grover.

Stephanie Holland, Senior Program Manager

Share a bit about your professional background:
For the last two and a half years, I worked as a project manager at Pacific Power. Before that, I was at Marsh & McLennan companies for nine years as a project manager on leadership development programs for Fortune 500 clients. Prior to that, I worked on technical communication as a technical writer, people manager, and project manager, and before that I was a newspaper reporter.

What excites you most about working at KCE?
Contributing to the exciting growth of the company and supporting that effort with project management by staying focused on the ultimate project stakeholders: children and their families.

Tell us a unique fact about yourself:
In sixth grade, I won the Gladys Wood Elementary Spelling Bee and went on to compete in the Alaska State Spelling Bee where I lost on the word enchilada.

What’s your favorite children’s book?
How can I pick just one?! Chicka Chicka ABC, Harriet the Spy, Frog and Toad are Friends… to name a few.

Share a bit about your professional background:
I’ve been in real estate for several years and have experience working with a third-party firm, as well as working as an executive assistant for several years for clients like Intel, Holland and Village Green.

What excites you most about working at KCE:
I’m excited to work for a company that’s helping kids by providing them great centers to improve their educational opportunities.

Tell us a unique fact about yourself:
I’m always trying to live outside of my box, so in December of 2016 I joined a billiards team in Beaverton and we’re going to the National Championships this year!

What’s your favorite children’s book?
I love books by Eric Carle and shares The Vey Hungry Caterpillar with my son when he was little. Great memories!

Priscillia Carver, Senior Data Analyst

Share a bit about your professional background:
Prior to joining KCE, I worked in Rockville, Md., at a social science company called Westat. There my major clients were the U.S. Department of Education, state education departments, and local education entities. My role was to develop surveys and assessments, guide data collection, analyze the data collected and then provide reports to the clients.

What excites you most about working at KCE?
I get to work in a field that I love (research and evaluation in early education) and for the first time, my work may have a direct impact on children!

Tell us a unique fact about yourself:
I used to own and operate a small bread company in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, D.C.

What’s your favorite children’s book?
We’re Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen

If you’re relocating, where are you from and what are you most looking forward to about living in Portland?
My family and I moved to the Portland area about a year ago from Washington, D.C. Since I’ve been here a year, rather than tell you what I’m most looking forward to, I’ll tell you what I have found so amazing here – the people! My experience has been that people here are warm, active (i.e. hiking), and genuine. I’m thrilled to now call this my forever home!
