I’ve been doing FP&A for just over five years, all for the same employer – a public software company based in Southern California.

What excites you most about working at KCE?
I’m excited to be working in a field that actually really helps make the world a better place by improving education opportunities for future generations.

Tell us a unique fact about yourself:
I worked at Disneyland while I was an undergraduate student. I got to pilot submarines on the Finding Nemo ride.

What’s your favorite children’s book?
I had a lot of favorites – but the whole Chronicles of Narnia series was pretty great.

If you’re relocating, where are you from and what are you most looking forward to about living in Portland?
I’m from Southern California, but I’m always excited to move to new places and experience new things. I’m very outdoorsy and cannot wait to try all the hikes, rivers, bike paths and camp sites in Oregon.

I’ve spent my career in Sales roles focused on consumer products (HP, Frito Lay, and Pepsi).  Most recently I was with HP’s PC & Printer group working with a variety of US retail partners (Best Buy, Costco, Amazon, etc.) enabling sales, brand advocacy, and consumer engagement in store and online.

What excites you most about working at KCE?
Helping corporate clients differentiate themselves in the market by enabling them to offer ECE benefits that will help them attract the millennial workforce. I’m also excited to be working at the NSC – I’ve been a “tele-worker” for the past 14 years working out of my house.

Tell us a unique fact about yourself:
I’m team captain of a Portland To Coast walking team in its 11th consecutive year in the Hood To Coast race. We claim to not be competitive but once race day hits, that seems to go completely out the window!

I’ve mostly worked in dispatch and AR with other office management/receptionist duties.

What excites you most about working at KCE?
I’m excited to continue working with my team, who I’ve worked with during my time as a temp, as well as the opportunities offered by KCE to get involved in the community.

Tell us a unique fact about yourself:
I’ve been a dancer since I was three years old! I started with ballet and tap and moved onto jazz and contemporary later in life. My favorite style to perform and to watch is modern dance.

What’s your favorite children’s book?
Poonam’s Pets by Andrew Davies.
