Share a bit about your professional background:
I just graduated from Portland State University with a degree in Human Resources and Business Management. I have a few years of HR experience at Portland-based companies. My last job was at ESCO Corporation in the compensation department.

What excites you most about working at KCE?
I’m most excited to work at a place that’s so focused on people, both employees and the children/families that KCE serves. It’s very exciting to be at a place where everyone’s work is driven by mission and meaning, and I’m incredibly happy to be a part of the KCE family. My team and everyone I’ve met so far are phenomenal!

Tell us a unique fact about yourself:
After graduating high school, I traveled for a year in the South Pacific to Fiji, New Zealand, and Australia!

Share a bit about your professional backgroundL
After graduating college in 2006 and moving back to the Portland area, I’ve spent the past 10+ years working in the education space. My first role was with a KinderCare sister company (KC Distance Learning) which was purchased by K12 Inc. in the summer of 2010. After spending nearly seven years with K12, I’ve come back to KinderCare and cold not be more excited about the opportunity ahead of us!

What excites you most about working at KCE?
The team is made up of some amazing people, and I’m very much looking forward to being a part of the team that’s building something special as we re-launch the B2B brand and chart a path towards marketing excellence.

Tell us a unique fact about yourself:
I was born and raised in the Portland area, possibly a minority these days! I’m a true Oregonian; the rain doesn’t bother me and I even enjoy camping and hiking in the winter. In January 2017, I camped for two nights outside of Bend, Ore., where temperatures reached 10 degrees below zero overnight.

What’s your favorite children’s book?
“The Velveteen Rabbit” was a favorite when I was growing up.

Most recently, I’ve worked at Learning Care Group for the last 11 years. I started my career as a preschool teacher and moved up to the director and district manager level prior to moving to their talent acquisition team as a teacher recruiter for them the last year in the southeast market.

Prior to starting in the ECE field, I was in the military stationed in Ft. Hood, Texas.
