I’ve previously worked in retail and healthcare, for companies both big and small. I’ve had a few different positions related to human resources, but I look forward to continued growth in this field.

What excites you most about working at KCE?
I really believe that continuous learning is important for all people in all stages of their life. However, there is something extra special about being a part of a group that is educating and supporting the next generation.

Tell us a unique fact about yourself:
I’ve loved photography for as long as I can remember, and I still want to be a professional photographer when I grow up!

I have a Master’s in Early Childhood Curriculum and Instruction and have spent over ten years in the field as an early childhood educator. Before joining KCE, I worked as a curriculum developer for K-12 after school programs

I’m thrilled to share KCE’s passion for educational excellence and am excited to help my team reach its goals of offering excellent and equitable early education to every child in every center.

If you’re relocating, where are you from and what are you most looking forward to about living in Portland?
I’m moving across the river from Vancouver. I’m looking forward to bike friendly streets and being closer to friends.

Share a bit about your professional background:
I grew up in Fairbanks, Alaska, and moved to Portland about two years ago. I graduated from Portland State University in June with a Bachelor’s in Supply and Logistics Management. I’m currently the President of the Tau Sigma National Honor Society of Transfer Students, and was previously Vice President of Communications for Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at the University of Alaksa – Fairbanks. My last job was as an Administrative Assistant at Pacific Research Associates.

What excites you most about working at KCE?
The opportunity to work with such an amazing team! Ed, Debra, and everyone here on the Procurement team has been incredibly welcoming. I’m really excited to develop my skills, build meaningful working relationships, and become an important part of the awesome KCE family.

Tell us a unique fact about yourself:
I’ve been downhill skiing since I was three years old, been a black-belt in Taekwon-Do since I was 12, and strive to read at least a book each week.

I have a degree in elementary education, but instead of teaching I took a more entrepreneurial route and have owned three businesses. Since entering the corporate world, I’ve sold in the medical, education, and enterprise software sectors.

What excites you most about working at KCE?
I’m thrilled to be able to wake up every day knowing what I do positively effects the lives of families and children. In sales, it’s rare to be able to truly love your “product.”

I play and coach football and I’m training to be a referee as well.
