What do you love most about your job?
The part I love the most about my job is getting to engage with three-, four- and five-year-olds on a daily basis. Every day is a totally new and surprising experience! I love the fact that they never allow me to be bored with my job.

The other aspect that I love, especially as a teacher, is to witness the lightbulb moments children have when they’ve learned something new or accomplished something for the first time. It is truly rewarding.

What Service Value resonates most with you and why?
To me the service value that resonates the most is that I genuinely care about every child in my classroom. Leading with that, I believe, brings the rest of the values to life.

What advice would you give to your colleagues?
First and foremost, always put the children first. I am just as guilty as the next person for letting the other aspects of the job get in the way, but if we could only remind ourselves daily of this, everything else will fall into place.
