Welcome to the Family: Josh Templeton!

templeton-head-shot-1Josh Templeton, Vice President of Client Relations, joined the KinderCare Education family in October. The once-
fry cook dreamed of being a fighter pilot when he grew up. Now, he’s happy to be in a role that serves children and families just like his own. Get to know Josh below!

Why did you join KinderCare Education?
KCE presented me with a very unique career opportunity in that I would be able to combine my passion for children, education, and business into one role. I’m so excited to be part of the team!

What excites you most about your role?
Driving business growth and impacting children and families for the better is something that is both special and unique to KCE. I’m beyond excited that we are not only driving growth for the company but that we are truly impacting children and preparing the next generation for success! How amazing is that!

What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
I love spending time with my wife and three kids (ages 5, 3 and 2). When time permits, I love to race and ride bicycles. If there is any leftover time (which is hardly ever), I do love to watch English football (soccer)…my team is Arsenal, in case you were wondering.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?
My proudest moments have all circled around being a husband and father. I’ve delighted in watching my children learn and grow. Whether it’s my oldest learning to read or teaching our youngest how to build with blocks; their inquisitive nature and boundless love simply make me want to do things better each and every day. We have a busy house, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

What was your first job? What did you want to be when you grew up?
Ponderosa Steakhouse. I was a fry cook. I will neither confirm nor deny that I may have eaten fries (along with other food) consistently while on the clock. I wanted to be a fighter pilot as a kid. The idea of flying with Maverick and Goose was my dream. I now have it downloaded to iTunes so I can watch it whenever I’m feeling nostalgic.
