Share a bit about your professional background:
I have a degree in Accounting. I moved from New York where I worked at Foot Locker Inc. I’ve held positions in Financial Reporting, Corporate FP&A, and Strategy.

What excites your most about working at KCE?
Learning is an incredible and lifelong pursuit. To be a part of something that starts children off on that journey with the tools and motivation to succeed is worth getting up for every day.

Tell us a unique fact about yourself:
I lived in South Korea for a year and a half teaching English. I taught all ages from pre-k to college.

What’s your favorite children’s book?
Harold and the Purple Crayon.

If you’re relocating, where are you from and what are you most looking forward to about living in Portland?
I’m relocating from Manhattan, New York. I’m most excited about fresh air.

Share a bit about your professional background:
I am a recent graduate from Portland State University with degrees in HR and Leadership and Management. I was previously a HR Generalist for Sushi Land headquarters. Other than that, I was a lifeguard for seven years, and then a bartender.

What excites you most about working at KCE?
That everyone here is very close and it feels like I have joined a family, not just a new position.

Tell us a unique fact about yourself:
I play the guitar, flute, some piano, and some of the ukulele. I also do minor coding for websites.

What’s your favorite children’s book?
Go Dog Go by Dr. Seuss.

Share a bit about your professional background:
I worked at KinderCare as a temp from August 2015 to June of this year. I’m very excited to be back as a full time KinderCare employee. In between, I worked with Sequential Biodiesel. Prior to KinderCare, I worked at Netflix and Portland State University.

What excites you most about working at KCE?
The wonderful people I get to interact with on a daily basis!

Tell us a unique fact about yourself:
I have a radio show on KPSU every Friday night that features live in-studio performances by bands and is filmed by PSU TV.

What’s your favorite children’s book?
Goodnight Moon. My siblings would beg me to read it all the time because I made silly voices/accents for each page and sometimes threw in French translations. The French wasn’t on purpose, I got confused because my grandparents read it to me in French and the words were in English.

I have worked in varied fields, but try to focus on developing efficiencies with customers and coworkers. I like learning and taking on new challenges. Most recently I worked as a Facilities Coordinator for Banfield Pet Hospitals for three and a half years.

What excites you most about working at KCE?
I am excited to being working a childcare environment. I am passionate about the field and am happy to be a part of the company.

Tell us a unique fact about yourself:
I have a cat named Chubby, I’m fairly artsy, and I like taking pictures.

What’s your favorite children’s book?
The Giving Tree or The Little Prince.

I worked in retail for the past 30 years as a Store Manager, District Manager, Regional Manager, and as Corporate Operations Director.

What excites you most about working at KCE?
The opportunity to grow with a great group of people.

Tell us a unique fact about yourself:
I once considered being a priest, but felt the growth program was too slow.

What’s your favorite children’s book?
Dr. Seuss books – especially Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham.

Share a bit about your professional background:
Before moving to Portland, I lived in LA for two years and worked as the assistant for an architect. Previous to LA, I lived in Florida for three years working as a Psychology Lab Technician focusing on dolphin vocal analysis. Before that, I worked as a part-time educator at an aquarium in Connecticut. My bachelors degree is in marine biology.

What excites you most about working at KCE?
Working with an amazing group of people who are so passionate about helping children.

Tell us a unique fact about yourself:
Right now I’m learning trapeze for fun.

What’s your favorite children’s book?
One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish by Dr. Seuss

I have a mixed background in business with over 16 years in retail, human resources, and service industry. I spent the last five years at adidas supporting retails

What excites you most about working at KCE?
Bringing my passion for youth and education into my daily job and overall leadership.

Tell us a unique fact about yourself:
I’m at OSU graduate. I grew up in San Diego and have a passion for dance. I’m married with a four year old son and another boy on the way!

Rainbow Fish.

Share a bit about your professional background:
I began my career as an early childhood teacher, working with all age groups. I completed my masters degree at PSU and taught for another year before moving in administration, first as a QRIS coordinator, then Curriculum & Licensing Coordinator and finally as Director of Education.

What excites you most about working at KCE?
The opportunity to have an impact on so many teachers and children, and the ability to offer rich, meaningful professional development opportunities on such a large scale.

I share a birthday with Harry Potter!

I’m a licensed attorney with three years of experience as a Contracts Manager for a large, local construction firm.

Contributing to the overall KCE mission of making each child’s experience at one of our centers as positive as possible.

I have one year old twins – Henry and Madeleine.

Two is for Twins.

Share a bit about your professional background:
I have been in the field of maintenance and construction for more than 20 years. From smaller projects to full scale renovations of residential and commercial buildings, each and every project has a challenge that I find intriguing.

What excites you most about working at KCE?
I love that I have the opportunity to be part of so many children’s upbringings by making sure that the environment they are in is safe and secure. As a parent myself, I get to make sure that the centers I work in worry only about the education they provide, and don’t have to spend their time with technical issues. I am there to help center staff focus on their number one priority: the children.

Tell us a unique fact about yourself:
I was born and raised in Greece. I moved to the states three years ago with my wife and two kids. I have been fixing things since I was a boy, following my dad around his workshop!

What’s your favorite children’s book?
Aesop’s Fables.

Prior to this job I worked as a Marketing Account Executive for Marine Corps Community Services.

What excites you most about working at KCE?
I am very excited to be part of a team that cares about families they work for. And I’m excited to be working for a company that puts children and families first.

Tell us a unique fact about yourself.
I spent the last three years living in Okinawa, Japan.

What’s your favorite children’s book?
Anything that Sandra Boynton has written. She has a great sense of humor and writes books that are fun for both kids and parents.
