Over the past two years, we’ve removed juice and fried foods from our menus, replacing them with well-balanced meals and snacks recommended by our in-house nutritionist and aligned to national standards. We’ve continued to limit the time children spend in front of a screen in favor of more time spent being physically active. And, we serve meals and snacks family-style – allowing our teachers and center staff to model healthy habits to the more than 160,000 children in our care. Two weeks ago, at its annual summit, Partnership for a Healthier America recognized and applauded these improvements, and named KinderCare Education as one of five finalists for its “Partner of the Year” award.
