Starting a Movement: Academies 2016

FLA1

Field Leader Academy was all about building management skills.

Two weeks ago, KinderCare Education Field Leaders gathered in San Diego, Calif., to learn just what it takes to start a movement. At this year’s Field Leader Academy, leaders from CCLC, Champions, and KinderCare learned new skills and left empowered to make an impact in their districts.

Attendees learned about what it takes to “Start a Movement” (the week’s theme); to inspire a group of people to work passionately toward what they believe in.

“At KinderCare Education our movement is serving as many children as possible, and setting those children up for success for the rest of their lives,” said Stefani Jenness, member of the Experience team.

The week culminated in field leaders calling their teams to make commitments on how they will become an even better leader.

As field leaders settle back in and start implementing changes to the way they run their teams with new found energy and excitement, center directors have their own academies to look forward to.

In preparation for the back to school season, Center Director Academies will help CDs reinforce and master what they learned last year, as well as provide them with new knowledge that will help them build their skills.

Center directors can look forward to engaging training sessions that will push them to be the best they can be. The first CD Academy starts April 25. Academies will run in four different cities through May 20. Watch for updates from attendees on Yammer.
