Nation’s largest private provider of ECE now a supporter of teacher leadership initiative
KinderCare Education has been invited to join the U.S. Department of Education as a supporter of Teach to Lead, an initiative created to expand opportunities for teacher leadership.
The initiative, spearheaded by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, the U.S. Department of Education and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), expands opportunities for teacher leadership by providing resources, facilitating stakeholder consultation, and encouraging professional collaborations to develop and amplify the work of teacher leaders.
“We are so pleased to welcome KinderCare Education as a supporter of Teach to Lead, and we look forward to working with them and over 100 other supporting organizations to advance teacher leadership in early education,” said Libby Doggett, deputy assistant secretary for policy and early learning at the U.S. Department of Education. “Early learning is a building block for the future for millions of children across the U.S., so it’s vital that we hear more of the voices of those leaders as they share their knowledge and vision for our youngest learners more broadly.”
“We are so honored to be asked to support Teach to Lead,” said Dr. Elanna Yalow, CEO of Early Learning Programs at KinderCare Education. “We are proud of the many opportunities we offer to our 25,000 teachers around the country to pursue leadership roles in our company and in early childhood education. We look forward to partnering with other teachers around the country to share resources and best practices.”
