Kelli Watson is inspired every day when she sees the amazement in the eyes of children when they are learning at her KinderCare center in Ponte Vedra, Florida. Her focus on making her center warm and welcoming, and building great, personal relationships with her families makes her Best in Class.
“We do a lot of laughing here at my school with families and my team,” said Kelli. “We have fun-filled events that parents look forward to every year, and at staff meetings we pinpoint ‘quiet’ families and work hard to make connections with them to make sure their experience at KinderCare is amazing.”
Parents have seen the impact Kelli’s leadership has had on their children.
“Both of my daughters attend Kelli’s center, and they have since they were ten weeks old,” said June, a parent. “I just want to tell you how wonderful she is. She is top notch, and she should absolutely be awarded for her compassion.”
Besides being focused on families, Kelli also takes care to keep her team functioning and happy.
“I have the honor of being Best in Class because of the team that I have beside me each and every day,” she said. “We work together, laugh together, learn together, lean on one another, and support one another.”
Kelli is an experienced leader who takes pride in empowering her staff to believe in themselves and be the best they can be for the children in their care. She values professional development, and pushes her team to always be focused on growing professionally.
“I love that [KU is] so focused on education and always doing what is right for children,” said Kelli. “As a company we are so ahead of the game when it comes to building a foundation for our children’s education.”
