A colossal thank you to everyone who brought the SPARK from the CD Summit to the KU National Support Center picnic at the Portland Children’s Museum! It was a huge success with nearly 600 smiling employees, friends and families joining in on the fun.

Over 600 employees and family members joined in on the fun. They were greeted by a fleet of Tillamook VW buses carrying ice cream and other dairy delights. Inside the Children’s Museum, all of the activities and exhibits were available exclusively to KU picnic attendees, and the Outdoor Adventure space, which was made possible in part to KU’s multiyear sponsorship, was full of activities, carnival snacks, games, and quiet places to explore.

From face painting to the best balloon creations we’ve ever seen to the giant Lite-Brite to karoke, guests enjoyed an array of fun experiences, capped off by a raffle. VP of HR, Kelsey Troy was excited. “We loved seeing people not only having fun, but spending time with colleagues, oftentimes making new friends with people who work only a few desks or floors away. That’s what the picnic is all about—having a fun time together.”

Thanks again to everyone who played a role in making the picnic possible, and to everyone who attended and gave the day such energy. We can’t wait to do it again next year!
