Champions sites in Marlboro, New Jersey, found an answer to an age-old post-Easter question with their annual “What Can We Make With Leftover Peeps?” contest. Students were asked to depict something they love about Champions, or something they love to do when attending Champions using Peeps marshmallow treats — although some schools came up with original ideas and just went with them. Whether it’s the sugar, the bright colors or their adorableness, Peeps apparently inspire creativity.
Asher Holmes Champions produced an elaborate The Muppet Show scene complete with Kermit and Miss Piggy. Defino Central creators unleashed their inner jocks with a Sports Zone theme. Marlboro Elementary celebrated “Carnival” fun, but Marlboro Middle School kept it real with “Peeps Doing Homework.” The Dugan team re-created the “American Idol” show set; and Abbott Early Learning Center took a walk on the wild side with “Beneath the Canopy, Rainforest Animals.”
The kids worked and played hard creating the fun displays.
“Teachers and students alike had a fantastic time brainstorming and working together to bring their visions to life,” shared Area Manager Thea Pace. The entries were judged by members of the Northeast team and valued partners throughout the community.
Ultimately, the Defino Central Champions received the most votes for “Sports Zone.” The kids will celebrate soon with an ice cream party. Perhaps with Peep toppings?
