This past Sunday, 115 Knowledge Universe employees and their family and friends participated in the 36th annual Shamrock Run. With KU team members participating in all race events–15k, 8k, and 5k–there was fun to be had for all.

“We had 20 more people participate than last year, and we hope to continue to build the team in the future,” says Sr. Program Coordinator Lindsey Klinger, who helped organize the event. “I am very happy with the continued interest people have in being part of the KU team!”

This year's Shamrock run featured a KU tent where participants could warm up or refuel.

For the fourth year in a row the race “sold out” meaning 35,000 participants took to the streets. Proceeds from the run benefit¬†Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation at Oregon Heath & Science University.

“This was my second time at the Shamrock and it was lots of fun,” says HRIS Analyst Kristi Cohen. “The best part was being able to be with my daughters and be with my coworkers. I liked that this year, KU had our own tent that everyone could meet up at and get warm!”

“I had so much fun running with my KU Krew!” says Robert Gierek. ¬†“The best part of the race was having a chance to connect with teammates across all parts of the business and team building with those on our floor!”

If you didn’t participate this year, you aren’t out of luck! Mark your calendars for 2015.
