Thanks to the generosity of our NSC employees, our Procurement team, and KU leadership, hundreds of Oregon families will benefit from our company’s recent donation to the Oregon Food Bank (OFB). KU’s donation included quite a bit of edibles:

  • 324 individual packages or cans of food
  • 14 cases of oatmeal
  • 13 giant cans of jelly and assorted fruit
  • 8 10-pound bags of pasta
  • 3 cases of mashed potatoes
  • 5 gigantic bags of oyster crackers
  • 1 case of refried beans
  • 1 case of crackers

In addition, KU donated $1 to the OFB for every item NSC employees donated during the food drive. That means that in addition to the food, the OFB also received a cash donation of $500, which will allow them to purchase and distribute food to local families that equates to more than 1,000 meals. Each month OFB provides emergency food boxes to more than 270,000 people throughout Oregon: 92,000 of those recipients are children. Thanks to the efforts of KU employees, and the ongoing work of the OFB, hundreds of children will enjoy healthy meals.

Thank you to everyone at the NSC who contributed to the food drive. You made a difference in the lives of local families.
