In case you missed it: The 4-1-1 on PDD

Yammer was buzzing on Monday, February 17, as Center Directors and others from around the country shared photos from Professional Development Day. Affectionately known as “PDD,” Monday was a chance for center staffs to get together and share ideas and skills surrounding communication, best practices, enrollment, engagement, and more.

Updates on Yammer shared the excitement centers felt on their day of learning: “Having a great Professional Development Day!” said Center Director Linda Moser from Pottstown, Pennsylvania. “All the staff is very engaged. They love spending time in their classrooms!”

Many CDs shared creative ideas for engaging parents and spreading the word about the Family Engagement survey. “Center 301467 had a powerful PDD!” said Center Director Adalet Kamil. “We connected and reflected on way to pleasantly surprise our families. We baked them fresh banana bread to serve for breakfast and made welcoming signs to show them how much we care about our children and their families! It was a very productive day.”

This year, PDD was concurrent with the release of the Employee Engagement survey. Many centers shared photos of staff taking the survey, or news of 100% participation throughout the center.
