The Best of the Best at NAEYC

Dr. Elanna Yalow, Wei-Li Chong, Katie Boe from Quality and Accreditation, David Roy from the KU Community and Communications team, and several other KU staffers are in Washington, D.C. today for the National Association for the Education of Youth Conference. KU is thrilled to be presenting The Best of the Best: Learning from Exemplary Teachers, featuring many of our 2013 Early Childhood Educator Award-Winners. NAEYC attendees will hear from the honorees during a panel discussion.

“We are extremely proud of our teachers, and are thrilled to recognize some of the finest educators in the country with the Knowledge Universe Early Childhood Educator Awards,” said Elanna , who is hosting the panel. “These talented and passionate educators have dedicated their professional careers to giving children the best start in life, and they deliver the highest quality of education and care that every young child deserves.”

NEAYC is the largest gathering of leaders, operators, and educators in the ECE field and KU is proud to be a Gold sponsor of this meeting of minds. The conferences are always valuable and the D.C. gathering is especially important for policy makers.

As Tom noted in last week’s company-wide email, elected leaders are finally beginning to see the importance of early childhood education, and there is still a tremendous amount of work to be done to ensure that all children have access to high-quality ECE. We have to lead and Elanna will be the face of KU in this societally critical effort.
